The government of Estonia has adopted a decision to prohibit Russian citizens with Schengen visas from entering its territory.
Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reynsalu said this at a press conference held by the government in Tallinn.
According to him, the ban applied to Russian citizens, regardless of the country of visa issuance, will come into effect from 00:00 on September 19.
In his speech, he also appealed to Russian citizens and said: "Do not come to Estonia with a Schengen visa. No one will welcome you here."
It should be noted that the governments of Poland, Latvia and Lithuania have also adopted the same decision on banning the entry of Russian citizens with Schengen visas.
