The flow of tourists to Azerbaijan increased by 32%

1 million 536 thousand 375 people visited Azerbaijan in January-September of this year, which is 32% more than in the same period of 2022.

According to information, only in September, the number of tourists who came to the country increased by 21% year-on-year and reached 192 thousand 115 people.

Russia leads the top 15 countries represented by tourists last month. In September, 50,500 people from our northern neighbor came to Azerbaijan. The first three are completed by Turkey with 36.1 thousand people and Iran with 15.5 thousand people.

The next places on the list are India (11.6 thousand), Georgia (10 thousand), Saudi Arabia (7 thousand), Kazakhstan (6.7 thousand), Pakistan (5.5 thousand), Israel (4.3 thousand), China ( 4 thousand), Uzbekistan (3.6 thousand), Kuwait (3.1 thousand), Ukraine (3 thousand), Turkmenistan (2.3 thousand) and the United States (2.2 thousand).

From the regional point of view, the top 3 are Russia with 26.3%, Asia with 20.3% and Turkey with 18.8%. The Middle East with 10%, Europe with 8.65%, Iran with 8.1% and other regions with 2.7% are next.
